A Weekend in Montreal Oct. 13-16th
The trip to montreal for the SCN import show was fun. After the long trip from Toronto we arrived thursday night at our motel...we rented a bungaloo house just outside of downtown 4 rooms, living room and a kitchen...The house could not take the Defcon Beatings by the end of the trip.
- Thursday Supersex
- Friday SCP | Jet Niteclub
- Saturday SCP | Shopping | Leafs vs Habs @ Bell Center | Casino Montreal
- Sunday Casino Montreal | SCP Car Show
Super...Super...Super SEX
Super sex was not so super...but i guess if u go to montreal you should check it out at least once...For $43 dollars you can get a 6 of beer and a table dance...
Jet Niteclub
Montreal Night clubs are very different from Toronto. Since last call is at 3am guestlist ends at 1am and the music selection is really different...Its all about remixes in Montreal not just big tunes...we were having a fun time dancing up a storm but got kicked out for banging the wall when big tunes came on...Montreal can't handle the tdot rowdiness...btw...i feel even older in montreal because they don't ID at the clubs
Leafs vs Habs
A friend of ours from the car show managed to get leaf tickets from a 'ticket broker' aka scalper. Ticket brokerage is an up and coming industry. i've heard that over 40% of all tickets are bought out in bulk by these 'firms'. He seemed to be a nice guy delivering the tickets to the car show for us. $23 dollar ticket sold to us for $55. But could we have gotten these tickets otherwise?...no
As we walked towards the Bell Centre the chants were getting louder:
- GO LEAFS GO
- GO HABS GO
- LEAFS SUCK
- 67 (the last year the leafs won the stanley cup)
The crowd was a sea of red and blue with leaf and habs fans of all ages. 1/4 of the crowd was the Leaf faithful...I must say that the Canadiens organization treats their fans well as well as former players...There is a deep sense of history with the fans and an aura of mutual respect between the club and the fans...
Final Score: 3-2 Toronto Wins
During the game the cheering was intense...we almost got into a fight with a bunch of drunken hab fans as our Leaf pride was a little too in your face for the hab supporters...With a little ingenuity we too came up with a few countercheers:
- FIX YOUR ROADS
- Two - One (the score at the time during the 2nd intermission)
- Deux - Un
- Lets go Expos
ok...so they weren't really that clever...but it still enraged the Hab supporters...lol
After the game tension was even higher and i saw a few altercations even before we got out of the arena...pushing and shoving between leaf fans and hab fans turned into brawls...we managed to escape without harm and ran to our cars in fear they would be egged or damaged because of our ONTARIO plates. Drove back to the hotel and prepared for the rest of the nite...
Casino Montreal
Last time i went to this casino they took me for $200 in a span of 3minutes. This time the outcome was different. Revenge is sweet!
Game of Choice: Roulette
I cashed in $100 and started to play...The dealer was not being forgiving...but i noticed that another player was hot...i started to follow his pattern putting most of my chips around his chips on my numbers closest to his pile. The strategy paid off...i picked my numbers at the right time and walked away from the table up $1000.
Winning isn't easy...but leaving the casino winning is even more difficult..my friends weren't ready to leave and i was stuck dwindling not wanting to lose my money but wanting to play to kill time...i managed to get to the snack bar with $900 in winnings...after treating everyone to some food another friend joined us from his night of clubbing...great...we're stuck here for longer...probability of ming leaving tonite with winnings getting slimmer.
Roulette pt ii
easy come easy go...but for some reason this nite at the casino is was only coming easy...another hot streak...another $1000...even after tipping the dealer more than $200
I left with $1700 in winnings after treating everyone to food...
my friend that came late left with $1400 in winnings...
The next day the casino took $170 + $30 for buffet back...
My friend wasn't so lucky...the casino too $900 back...
Damn SICBO...why wouldn't it go BIG?

RECAP:
It seems like the roads in montreal just get worse and worse everytime i go back. The tradition continues of getting lost every trip into the city. So what happened at the house?...broken furnature...digested poutine thrownup on the carpet...smoke that will take a week to air out of the house...i'm sure we'll get a bill in the mail
Montreal OCT2005...one fun trip
