  • R&B Comeback!

From what i've heard recently that smooth r&b is coming back!

    Current Rotation:

Q featuring Jazze Pha - Forever Girl
    Joe - Where You At
Megan Rochelle featuring Jay-Z - The One You Need (Remix)
Deep Side featuring R. Kelly - Let's Make Love
Bobby Valentino - Checking on Me
Janet featuring Nelly - Call on Me
Ne-Yo featuring Ms. Candace Jones - Sexy Love Remix
    Paula Deanda - Walk Away
Nelly Furtado featuring Rick Ross & Timbaland - Promiscuous (Remix)

    Hip Hop is another story...

Crunk has gotten to me. I think i hang out with DJ GLEW too much:
Young Dro featuring T.I. - Shoulder Lean
Young Joc featuring Rick Ross, Slim Thug & Jody Breeze - Its Going Down (Remix)
Chamillionaire featuring Jae Millz & Papoose - Ridin Dirty (Remix)
T.I. featuring Juelz Santana & Papoose - What You Know (Remix)

Can't get sick of it right now.  The Epic sound and the reaction you get in the club when the crunk set drops can't be described in words.

Urban Lounge on Wednesdays have been pretty relaxed. The change of pace with the music listening to some non-club classic hip hop and r&b always brings back great memories. I think I eat too many Nacho Supremes though...lol

    "EXTRA"
This was a term we used to use to describe try hards back in the day. The word basically describes all of their actions.

    i.e.
"What he said was so extra"

I'm not hating on those 'extra' ppl but its too much sometimes. Those people can sometimes be the most sucessful people whether it be career wise or socially.

I've had my share of experiences with try hards with their attempts to either impress a girl or impress the crew with elaborate stories or bragging about some accomplishment that totally isn't necessary. In the end those people are exposed for their true self.

Just being real in the end will give you true friendships and more worthwhile relationships with people. It took me a long time to realize myself that you cannot please everyone. If you give too much people will walk all over you. I think i've lost my initial train of thought...

    "You're too nice"

Again that fatal flaw has always resurfaced with me.
This phrase has always followed me around.

Is it bad to be nice? Does one not respect the boss that's nice?
Is it really that bad of a flaw? perhaps...

I guess in the end I've always tried to treat people the way I would like to be treated until they lose that respect. The benefit of the doubt i guess.
